A Happy Mouth is a Happy Body: Safari Doctors Successfully Completed Another Year's Free Dental Camp in Lamu!

Safari Doctors, The Kenya Dental Association and Shungwaya Health Access’s Medical Experts after a successful Dental camp at the facility.

In line with World Oral Health Day 2024, "A Happy Mouth is a Happy Body," Safari Doctors and the Kenya Dental Association conducted a successful free dental camp in Lamu County! This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of our communities.

Building on Last Year's Success: Reaching Communities Across Lamu, This year, we expanded our efforts, partnerships, and a team of dentists, dental assistants, and Safari Doctors staff members who dedicated a week to providing free dental services in our key Safari Doctors Medical Centres and Outpost in Lamu.

The camp provided comprehensive care for all with a range of essential dental services, including extractions, fillings, root canal therapy, and oral health education sessions delivered to all attendees by dedicated dental assistants.

The overwhelming response to this year's camp highlights the critical need for accessible dental care in Lamu. Based on this success, we're considering extending future camps to two weeks of World Oral Health Month. This will allow us to reach a broader population and make a more significant impact on oral health in the region.
